- I have a A2000 and a GVPscsi controller
- Quantum 170 meg h/d
- old apple single spin CDrom drive
- if i connect my quantum drive drive by it`s self it ok
- if i connect my cdrom drive by it`s self it ok (floppy boot)
- if i connect both units and use scsi software to check the devices
- connected to the amiga it starts to look then crashes.
- it will find the lowest id # on the chain then crash
- i have tryed all combos of termination resitors all combo`s of
- chaining up the drives chain internal/external,but NO GOOD *:(
- The CDrom drive works quite happily on my mates 1200 plugged in as
- second drive in his scsi chain.
- The gvp board has internal terminating resistors i tryed taking them
- out i know the fundimentals of scsi chaining and term resitors but i
- need some help.
- as i said the devices will work happy by them self but not together
-
- Q: Is the apple single spin to old for the GVP to mount?
- Q: Is the apple single spin a scisi II or SCSI I system?
- Q: i need a term resistor on the last device on the chain only?
-
- Thanks.....
- oh anybody know the type/make and style of the rom chips used on
- A2000 (U500)
